What's new in Zelt. Release #47.

New Tax Year in the UK, the ATS gains hiring manager access and a set of actions. Across absence and attendance, rota employees now get more accurate absence day values and allowances.

Absence

Accrual explainer for employees Employees on accrual-based policies can now see a plain-English breakdown of how their leave balance builds up, accessible from their allowance view. The explainer covers how often leave accrues, whether it's added at the start or end of each period, and any restrictions that apply during probation — so employees always know where their balance stands and why. Read more about Accruals here.

Updated balance page and dashboard widget The absence balances page now shows accrual calculation detail alongside non-accrual policies in a consistent view. The dashboard widget has been updated to match.

Payroll info improvements Absence policy payroll settings now show pay multipliers as percentages and include a plain-text summary of how pay will be calculated for each scenario (paid or unpaid, with or without a payline) including tiered multiplier breakdowns where applicable. The field has been renamed to "Company pay" for clarity.

Accurate absence day values for rota employees Rota employees' absence days are now valued using their minimum contracted hours divided by their working days per week, rather than the company default. Absence pay reflects each employee's actual contracted hours without requiring a fully built-out rota schedule. Read more here.

Accurate pro-rata allowances for rota employees Rota employees with minimum contracted hours set now receive the correct annual leave allowance. Previously, a mismatch between the day length used for allowance calculation and conversion could overstate entitlements. Read more here.

ATS

Hiring manager access Hiring managers can now be given their own ATS permission scope, giving them visibility of the jobs they're assigned to, access to applications and candidate profiles, and the ability to add notes and create candidates. Recruiting teams can collaborate in Zelt without admins needing to share full access.

More actions for jobs and candidates Admins can now duplicate a job (saved as a draft), delete a job along with all its associated candidates, and add candidates manually via a dedicated drawer.

Reviews

Results table view Review results can now be viewed in a table format, with filtering by reviewer role and search across responses, making it easier to analyse feedback across a cohort.

Tasks

Scheduled tasks and custom rules Tasks can now be set with a delayed launch date, so admins can prepare and schedule tasks to go out at the right moment. Scheduled tasks show a clear status in the company and team views, with the launch date editable after creation. Tasks also now support custom assignment rules, consistent with how rules work across the rest of the platform.

Integrations

Microsoft Teams notification bot Zelt notifications are now available in Microsoft Teams. The bot supports the same functionality as the Slack integration — notifications to channels, group chats or personal chats, with the ability to approve, reject or complete actions directly from Teams.
