Absence

Bradford Factor Scoring

The Bradford Factor is now available in Absence Insights. This score helps identify patterns of frequent short-term absence across your organisation, with a visual flag for employees scoring 120 or above. Results can be grouped and filtered by department, site, entity, and worker type.

Absence Data API

A new API is available for retrieving absence requests in bulk, with optional filtering by employee or policy, supporting integrations and reporting workflows that need programmatic access to absence data.

Performance Reviews

Question Weighting

Review forms now support question weighting, allowing administrators to assign greater importance to certain questions when calculating overall scores. A running total is shown while configuring weights, with an option to clear them at any time. Read more about setting up weights here.

Payroll & Finance

Formulas in Reports

Advanced reports now support calculated fields. Custom columns built from your own formulas. You can add, subtract, compare, or combine any columns already in your report, and have the result appear as a new column alongside your data. A set of built-in functions covers common needs such as date differences, percentage calculations, and conditional logic. Calculated fields are included in CSV exports, shared report links, and scheduled email reports. Learn more about adding custom formulas here.

Composite Salary Breakdown

In regions where an employee's salary is made up of multiple components, each part is now individually visible in payslips and accessible in reports, giving employees and payroll teams full clarity on how pay is structured.

Pro-rating Rules

Payroll admins can now choose how salary is pro-rated for new starters and leavers. The available methods are actual days worked in the period, average days based on 260 working days per year, or a custom divisor. This allows organisations to align Zelt's calculations with their own contractual methods. Read more about pro-rating methods here.

Bank Detail Visibility Control

A new permission allows organisations to let employees view, but not edit, their own bank details, for companies that manage bank information centrally.

Custom Tax Rates

Expense policies can now include custom tax rates, defined by name and percentage. This replaces the previous fixed set of codes and gives finance teams the flexibility to match their own tax categories.

Customisations

Custom Section Permissions

Admins can now grant targeted read or edit access to custom sections on employee profiles, without needing to assign full admin rights.

Nesting Membership Criteria

Expenses, Invoices and Custom request forms now support multiple criteria for membership selection. For example, it is possible to make a request form available to everyone who is in Product Department and has worked in the company for over 6 months.
