Absence Insights

Absence reporting has been expanded with a new insights layer, providing a structured overview of how time off is planned, used, and approved across the organisation. Employers can now track policy utilisation, participation, remaining balances, booking patterns, and approval timelines, with flexible grouping and filtering by policy, department, site, entity, and worker type. These insights support more informed workforce planning, early identification of risk patterns, and healthier absence management at scale.

Absence Memberships Rules

Absence policy membership rules have been extended to support nested logic, enabling more granular and scalable employee selection. Administrators can now combine multiple conditions across multiple criteria within a single rule set.

Timesheet Management

Timesheet processing has been extended with configurable cut-off periods, allowing businesses to decouple timesheet submission from live payroll cycles. Organisations can now define custom timesheet windows that differ from pay periods, supporting additional review and approval time before payroll is run.

This means you no longer have to rely on the timesheet window matching your live payroll cycle exactly. Instead, organisations can set their own timesheet submission deadline and define custom timesheet windows that can run differently to pay periods. This is especially helpful for teams that need extra time to check hours, confirm overtime, resolve missing entries, or complete manager approvals before payroll is processed.

Expense Management

Optimised AI Assistant and Draft Workflow The expense submission process has been re-engineered to prioritise data integrity. Receipts are now saved as drafts immediately upon upload. Users may subsequently choose to utilize AI-driven Optical Character Recognition (OCR) or proceed with manual entry, mitigating data loss during processing delays.

Expense Voiding Functionality: Authorised users now have the capability to void expense submissions, allowing for more efficient correction of administrative errors.

Enhanced Vendor Tracking: A dedicated "Spent at" (Vendor) field has been integrated into the expense claim form to improve categorisation and audit trails.

Multi-Currency Support: The platform now supports three decimal places for special currencies to ensure precision in international financial transactions.

Platform Security and Infrastructure

Account Protection Mechanisms: Implementation of Account Lockout and Brute Force Protection has been completed to safeguard against unauthorised access attempts. If account owner enters the wrong password 3 times, account will be locked for 15 minutes. Such security lock-outs are also recorded in the Audit trail in Company Settings.

Payroll and Compliance

Global Payroll Adjustments: The system now permits manual overrides for missing global payroll data, ensuring continuity in payroll processing for international teams.

Talent Module

Integration with Job Boards: The applicant tracking system has been extended with direct integrations to external job boards, enabling roles created in Zelt to be published across multiple channels from a single workflow. This reduces manual duplication, improves role visibility, and keeps hiring pipelines and applicant data consistently in sync as recruitment scales.
