This release is introducing substantial enhancements to the Talent Module and Attendance systems, designed to improve workflow efficiency and data integrity across the platform. Below is a detailed summary of the implemented changes.
Attendance
Automated Timesheet Rounding To ensure the integrity of payroll data and streamline compliance, the system now supports automated timesheet rounding for Clock-in and Clock-out tracking methods. You can round times to the nearest 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes by updating the tracking method in your schedule. This helps standardise time entries, smooth out small clock-in differences, and reduce manual adjustments for cleaner reporting. Read more about timesheet rounding settings
Compact Schedule View Addressing the complexities of managing large-scale rosters, a new Compact View has been introduced to the scheduling interface. This view allows managers to visualise extensive team schedules and identify coverage gaps quicker, without the friction of excessive scrolling or navigation.
Reporting and Visibility Enhancements
Added a new week switcher on the Attendance Widget allowing employees to preview their upcoming schedules directly from the dashboard.
Integrated shift plans into Custom Reports to enable "Planned versus Reality" comparative analysis, providing deeper insights into labour cost variances and attendance adherence.
Growth
Flexible Evaluation Weighting Recognising that feedback from different stakeholders may carry varying degrees of significance; Zelt now permits the configuration of nuanced "Evaluation Mixes". Rather than relying on simple averages, administrators can assign specific weightings to distinct reviewer groups. For example, weighing manager feedback at 50%, self at 40% and peer feedback at 10% to derive a final performance score that more accurately reflects organisational priorities. Enable this by heading to the Scoring tab within the chosen review. Read more about Evaluation mix settings
Mid-Cycle Question Editing Operational flexibility has been enhanced through the ability to modify question text subsequent to a review cycle's launch. To maintain rigorous data governance and transparency, all such modifications are explicitly captured within the audit trail, preserving a complete history of the original versus amended phrasing for compliance purposes.
Instant Score Visibility To optimise system responsiveness and data retrieval, the architecture for calculating and storing review scores has been refined. This improvement ensures that managers are presented with final scores instantaneously upon accessing the results page, eliminating latency and facilitating more timely performance discussions.
Talent
Anonymous Hiring In an effort to mitigate unconscious bias within the recruitment lifecycle, the Talent module now supports distinct Anonymous Hiring protocols. This functionality allows specific pipeline stages to be designated as "blind", obscuring candidate identities from reviewers. This ensures that initial screenings are conducted solely on the basis of merit and qualification, fostering a more equitable hiring process. You can enable this for each stage of your hiring process within the published job by selecting Anonymous Mode in each of the stages.
Job Management Optimisations Several improvements have been deployed to streamline job post management.
We have implemented an auto-save function for drafts, preventing the loss of work during setup and safeguarding data continuity.
"Time to Hire" metric and the explicit listing of hiring managers within the job list now provides leadership with critical, high-level insights into pipeline velocity and role ownership.
Payroll
Pay items approval Pay items in an employee’s profile can now be submitted for approval before being included in payroll. Managers can create one-off payments, such as bonuses or ad-hoc pay adjustments, directly from the employee profile. These items are then sent to admins for review and approval, ensuring oversight and accuracy before they’re added to a pay run.
Android App
Overnight Shift Logic The mobile application’s temporal logic has been updated to accurately validate and record shifts that span across midnight. By correctly interpreting start and end timestamps that occur on different calendar days (e.g., a shift commencing at 09:00 PM and concluding at 08:00 AM), the system ensures accurate logging for night-shift personnel, preventing data validation errors and payroll inaccuracies.
