What’s New in Zelt - June 2025

Read on to prepare yourselves and your employees for new capabilities, changes and deprecations.

Updated over 4 months ago

Absence Pay Rules

You can now define absence pay rules that automatically adjust pay based on allowance usage, no more duplicating policies to handle different compensation scenarios.

Add pay multipliers to apply dynamic rates after a threshold is reached. For example, if your company covers only the first 10 sick days at full pay, you can now set a rule that adjusts pay automatically once that limit is crossed, all within the same absence policy.

Pay items for Direct reports

Managers can now view and create one-off pay items for their direct reports directly in Zelt. This empowers teams to handle bonuses, allowances, or other adjustments without relying on admins.

Once enabled in Company Settings, managers will see a Pay items section in their employee's profile. Any additions will be automatically picked up in the next payroll run.

Expanded Criteria for Rolling reviews

Rolling Reviews now support a broader set of automation criteria to trigger performance reviews based on employee events.

Over 50 new filters have been added to enable automatic scheduling based on conditions such as absence end dates or specific absence types like maternity leave.

This update enables more timely and consistent feedback, helping teams stay proactive and fair in post-absence evaluations.

More options for Request forms

Custom request forms now support multi-select fields, enabling greater flexibility when capturing complex employee requests outside standard automated workflows. These forms unlock use cases like resource booking, event planning, and shift coordination, without needing custom tooling or workarounds.

Timesheets Improvement

Time tracking now includes improved reporting tools and manager access, making it easier to understand and act on how time is spent.

You can now view summaries by week or month, navigate between periods more easily, and categorise entries with custom job types like inspection work or training.

These updates provide clearer visibility into work patterns, support mobile-friendly attendance tracking, and improve accountability through direct annotations.
