Goals for Managers

Managers can now create and manage Goals and Key Results for their direct reports, making it easier to align teams on priorities.

Effective Key Result Updates

Set effective dates for Key Result updates. Backdate for accurate retrospectives or schedule updates in advance.

Achievement Alerts

Progress updates now trigger notifications. Once a Key Result is created, updated or achieved, participants are automatically notified of the win.

Reports

Focus mode

Report read view is now cleaner, showing only the column field names. For fields that share identical names across different domains (e.g. Effective Date in Compensation vs. Effective Date in Contract), you can expand into the detail view to see the exact domain and operators.

This ensures you always know which data source is being used, prevents confusion when similar fields exist, and eliminates errors caused by pulling in too many relationships.

Better filtering

Reports now support new operators for enum fields (fields with predefined values, like Employment Type or Approval Status). In addition to the standard “is equal to” operator, you can now filter by:

  • Is not equal to — exclude a specific value from your results.

  • Is none of — exclude multiple values at once.

Expenses

Multiple attachments

Multiple receipts to a single expense claim for clearer submissions.

Policy select and description

Expense policies now include descriptions, helping employees allocate expenses correctly.

Logging expenses is about to get much faster. With Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Zelt will automatically scan uploaded receipt images, extract the key details (date, vendor, amount, currency, VAT) and populate the expense claim for you.

Instead of typing everything manually, employees will have an option to use the OCR, review and submit. This reduces errors, speeds up submission, and ensures more accurate reporting for finance teams.

Employer Payment Summary

Payroll administrators can now preview and submit EPS directly from within payruns. The EPS is required for reporting statutory payments (such as maternity, paternity, or sick pay) and reclaiming them from HMRC. It also covers reporting of Apprenticeship Levy. Everything can be reviewed and submitted in one place, saving time and ensuring compliance. Read more about reporting EPS here.

iOS App Upgrades

This release features multiple impressive upgrades, make sure you and your team have the latest version.

  • Benefits A new flow that lets you request and manage your benefits more easily.

  • Restructured To-Do Actions Better organised and fully interactive.

  • Updated onboarding You can now upload an avatar when getting started.

  • Updated expenses Added the option to void an expense.

Notifications

Select recipient for any notification

A specific employee can now be set as the recipient of any notification, allowing admins and managers more control and ensures the right person gets the right information at the right time. For example, routing a reminder to the responsible owner.

Custom notifications to Slack

If your Slack integration is active, you can now send custom notifications straight to Slack. Zelt automatically matches employee profiles with their Slack accounts and Zelt Bot delivers the message directly to the recipient. This reduces inbox clutter and ensures notifications reach employees where they’re already working.
